Levi Strauss x Albert Einstein

The Levi’s Vintage Clothing Menlo Cossack Jacket is an updated, re-released replica of the popular 1930s version originally worn by Albert Einstein, the world-renown theoretical physicist. In July 2016, Levi Strauss & Co. placed the winning bid on this jacket at Christie’s Auction House in London.
Most recognized for wearing it in a weekly issue of TIME Magazine in April 1938, the jacket has gained cult status among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
This version of the replica is made from soft, supple cognac and features all the same elements as the original but with a shorter body and a more feminine cut. It comes nicely packaged in a special Einstein box with a similar auction paddle, this time in pink – a nod to Einstein’s original!
